Rune was born from a Light Flower with Tintlet and raised with her in Faerie Forest. He has the same powers as all Elves like him, as well as the ability to heal, which he was taught by the Spirit Tribe's Elde. At a young age, Rune was bound to be Tintlet's life partner. He loves her very much and their bond is incredibly strong-- Rune would quite literally do anything in his power to protect her.
Later, he was summoned to the Realm of Water by the Water Dragon, and he used his Elfin powers to heal the Dragon, in turn becoming its knight. He greatly admires the Dragon Lord and wants nothing more than to show Lykouleon how honorable he is. As he devoted himself to the Dragon Lord as the Dragon Knight of Water, Rune made the decision of not taking an active role as Elfin Prince, which was his previous title.
Rune deeply cares for those around him, and he makes it his mission to dig deep and find out what is wrong with them when he senses trouble. It's this digging that caused him to discover Rath's past, and though he felt uneasy about it at first, he vowed that nothing between him and Rath had changed because of his discovery. Since he is very righteous, Rune dislikes rude behavior or anything else that could be offensive to the Dragon Lord, whom he holds in such high regards. He is strict in some senses and he wants things to get done fast and with little trouble, but he allows for some leeway. He is curious about Nohiro, the mysterious traveler he met on his adventures, and Rune wonders if Nohiro and Rath are connected in some manner.
He has the power of Varawoo sealed within his body and he can use the gigantic fish as a form of magic, creating portals and whirlpools as long as he can keep up enough energy to do so. Rune also is the new owner of the White Dragon Crystal, making him a candidate for the position of White Dragon Officer; however, he is unaware that he possesses this item.
POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING
During the final battle, Rune uses his powers to awaken Sabel's true faerie powers, thus reviving the unconscious faerie-turned-youkai, and, with the help of Tintlet, curing him of the curse Nadil had originally placed upon him. He still keeps his relationship with Tintlet, so sorry for those Rim Kaana hopefuls. There's still a threesome deal going on >_> Weird faerie. He's also the White Dragon Officer as of the end of the series.
